Job summary

Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure hardware engineering team in the US seeks a Senior Hardware Technician to execute hands-on lab work, including PCB rework, server bring-up, and rigorous testing. This full-time, on-site role supports hardware sustaining, qualification, and validation across multiple programs.

You will configure systems, update firmware, document results, and help maintain a safe, efficient lab environment.

Qualifications

5 years of relevant experience in electronics labs or data-center hardware.
Hands-on soldering and PCB rework (through-hole/SMT) with common tools.
Experience assembling and bringing up servers or high-performance hardware.
Ability to follow procedures for firmware updates, OS install, and hardware validation.
Experience documenting test results clearly and reproducibly.
Experience configuring lab infrastructure (racks, cabling, PDUs, networking).
Strong organizational skills and lab readiness.

Responsibilities

PCB rework and hardware modification to support sustaining and qualification.
System configuration, build, and bring-up of servers per documented requirements.
OS installation, firmware updates, and basic validation checks.
Configure lab infrastructure and ensure connectivity and proper cabling.
Perform functional tests and log results for engineering review.
Maintain a clean, safe lab and manage supplies and calibration coordination.
Collaborate with engineers to improve lab throughput and processes.
