Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Hardware Engineering seeks a Senior Hardware Technician for hands-on lab work in Burlington, MA. You will perform PCB rework, server bring-up, and system testing while maintaining day-to-day lab readiness in a full-time on-site role.

At the Senior level, you will independently execute complex lab activities, manage multiple priorities, and communicate status clearly, upholding quality and traceability across hardware programs and lab operations.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience in electronics laboratories or data center hardware.
• Soldering and PCB rework (through-hole and/or SMT) experience.
• Experience assembling, configuring, troubleshooting, and validating server or high‑performance hardware.
• Ability to follow procedures for firmware updates, OS installation, and hardware validation.
• Experience performing functional testing and documenting results clearly.
• Experience configuring and supporting lab infrastructure and equipment.
• Willingness to work full‑time on-site in a hardware lab with ESD/safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform PCB rework and hardware modifications to support sustaining and qualification activities.
• Assemble, configure, tear down, and rebuild servers with CPUs, DIMMs, PCIe cards, NICs, storage, and cabling.
• Update firmware and install operating systems; verify initial health checks.
• Connect systems to lab network and validate basic connectivity and configuration.
• Configure and maintain lab infrastructure—racks, PDUs, switches, cabling.
• Collaborate with engineers to prioritize tasks and improve lab throughput.
