Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Senior Manager - Hardware Systems Applications Engineering to lead cross-functional teams in the DFW area, aligning business goals with the team charter and driving quarterly milestones.

You will define inputs/outputs, staffing plans, and workflows across software, hardware, product and operations; develop real-time metrics on hardware health; report progress to leadership weekly; and travel up to 30% to engineering sites and field locations.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering required.
10+ years managing direct reports, including remote/offsite personnel.
10+ years designing RASICs, processes, and workflows with cross-functional teams.
10+ years in Automotive Engineering, sustaining fielded products.
Expertise using JIRA for issue management and reporting.
Data-driven, objective problem solving.

Responsibilities

Work on-site in the DFW area as the center of excellence for fleet operations.
Plan quarterly goals by synthesizing business goals with the team charter and track progress.
Define inputs/outputs and develop internal team processes for consistent delivery.
Define staffing needs and manage resource planning (shift scheduling, training).
Develop and manage cross-functional workflows with software, product, operations, and other HW teams.
Develop and track metrics for real-time signals on hardware health and performance.
Communicate deliverables to leadership, from fleet metrics to issue investigations weekly.
Travel up to 30% to engineering sites, operations sites, and remote test locations.
