Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead hardware NPI efforts, shepherding from concept review to high-volume manufacturing, guiding design engineers in selecting manufacturing processes and delivering finished vehicle integrations.

You will support APQP, quality plans, and collaboration with internal and external partners, with global travel and a fast-paced environment. This role offers growth in a leadership capacity within a cutting-edge, safety-focused company.

Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years experience in engineering role with production exposure.
Experience with APQP, MSAs and DfX concepts for new hardware.
Experience launching hardware products through lifecycle stages.
Knowledge of optical alignment, interconnects, and FAU alignment.
Proficiency with Catia/Solidworks and Enovia/EPDM for CAD/PLM.

Responsibilities

Lead hardware NPI from concept review to low-volume to high-volume manufacturing.
Guide design engineers on manufacturing processes and equipment needs.
Own process control plans, manufacturing BOMs, and transfer to production.
Support APQP activities, process validation, and PPAPs with cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with internal/external CM partners and cross-functional design reviews.
Drive continuous improvement and yield optimization for NPI lines.
