Job summary

ARSIEM Corporation seeks a Subject Matter Expert in hardware reverse engineering to support critical government missions in Arlington, VA. You will conduct reverse engineering of OT/ICS devices, analyze embedded systems, and extract deeply embedded malware from hardware components.

The role requires deep expertise in proprietary hardware, exploitation methods, and defensive tactics to support forensic investigations and threat actor analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in hardware reverse engineering or embedded systems analysis.
• Deep OT/ICS hardware knowledge and vulnerability experience.
• Ability to analyze proprietary systems with limited documentation.
• Strong communication to explain complex findings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hardware reverse engineering of OT/ICS devices.
• Analyze network-edge and embedded systems compromised by threats.
• Perform deep-dive analysis of proprietary hardware and firmware.
• Identify exploitation risks and document methodologies.
• Develop hardware forensics workflows and SOPs.
• Train analysts on hardware reverse engineering techniques.
• Support investigations with edge device security expertise.
• Collaborate with engineers on chip-off forensics procedures.
