Job summary

Uber is building a high-velocity AV data ecosystem and seeks a Senior Quality Control Lead to own Incoming Quality Control and production hardware provisioning. You will bridge engineering test development with daily floor execution, leading contractor technicians and enforcing strict inventory quarantine and calibration standards.

In this hands-on role, you will troubleshoot CAN/Ethernet/Serial interfaces, run Linux/Python scripts, and ensure bench throughput and quality to support autonomous

Qualifications

• Hands-on hardware QC and inspection experience in AV/robotics environments.
• Strong Linux/Unix CLI navigation and scripting basics.
• Experience leading contractor technicians on an active floor.
• Familiarity with material control, NCRs, and ERP/PLM tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct and optimize daily IQC bench inspections and verification against engineering criteria.
• Execute benchtop configuration protocols using Linux CLI and automated test scripts.
• Perform technical triage by analyzing logs and interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, Serial).
• Lead contractor QC technicians, train on SOPs, and enforce bench discipline.
• Manage physical quarantine, NCR generation, and non-conforming material disposition.
• Maintain IQC benches, tools, gauges, and ESD compliance.
• Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, and QE to prioritize inspection queues.
