Job summary

MKS Instruments in Andover, MA is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead complex NPI and advanced development programs in the Vacuum Products division. You will drive cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain from concept through production, reporting to the Director of Project Management.

You’ll own schedules, budgets, risks, and resource plans while delivering aggressive time-to-market targets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
10+ years in hardware product development with multi-project responsibility.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams in matrixed orgs.
Experience with stage-gate or similar development processes.
Familiarity with PM tools (Gantt, PERT, Scrum) and critical path.
Customer-facing engineering relationship management.
Ability to adapt in evolving processes and close gaps.
Continuous improvement mindset aligned to product development.
Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

Manage execution of multi-project programs from concept to production launch.
Drive cross-functional coordination across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
Develop and maintain integrated program schedules and dependencies.
Own program financials including budget, cost tracking, and revenue projections.
Lead program reviews with senior leadership and communicate risk and health clearly.
Maintain ISO-quality compliant project documentation and traceability.
Collaborate with engineering directors to resolve resourcing and technical challenges.
Deliver aggressive time-to-market targets while preserving process integrity.
Scale the Product Development Process to fit program needs.
Travel up to 15% as required.
