Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Project Manager in Andover, MA, to drive cross-functional NPI and sustaining projects from concept to production.

You will coordinate engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to meet milestones and manage budgets, risks, and schedules with clear communication. The role emphasizes a proactive, technically curious approach in a matrixed environment, with up to 15% travel and onsite work in Andover.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in project management or engineering environments.
• PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects with engineering, manufacturing and quality stakeholders.
• Background in electronics or analytical product development preferred.
• Familiarity with stage-gate or similar product development processes.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Drive execution of NPI and sustaining projects from concept through production launch.
• Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and business teams to hit milestones.
• Build and maintain project schedules with dependency tracking; surface risks early.
• Track project financials including budget consumption and variance reporting.
• Lead project status at gate reviews and program reviews with clear progress updates.
• Maintain ISO-compliant project documentation for traceability and audits.
• Identify resource conflicts early and escalate with recommended actions.
• Support division’s project prioritization with accurate project data.
