Job summary

Stripe is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and expansion of Terminal hardware. This role will work across hardware, firmware and software engineering, design, operations, logistics, partnerships, sales, and regions to shape the multi-year roadmap for devices, accessories, and partner ecosystem powering Terminal.

You will collaborate with external OEM/ ODM partners and internal teams to drive global expansion, certifications, pricing, and launch readiness

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management or equivalent leadership of complex tech products.
• Proven track record shipping physical hardware or embedded devices through launch.
• Experience defining strategy, roadmaps, requirements, and launches for technical products.
• Experience partnering with hardware, firmware, and software engineering teams.
• Strong judgment balancing user experience, feasibility, reliability, cost, supply and timing.
• Experience with hardware development, manufacturing, prototype to production.
• Experience working with external vendors, OEMs, ODMs, or strategic partners.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute a multi-year strategy and roadmap for Terminal hardware and accessories.
• Define where Stripe should build, partner, or expand its hardware portfolio.
• Define product requirements, user journeys, and acceptance criteria end-to-end.
• Guide development with hardware, firmware, software, and quality teams.
• Collaborate with OEMs/ ODMs to evaluate capabilities and roadmaps.
• Lead global expansion of third-party hardware, including certifications and pricing.
• Build business cases for new device categories and connectivity use cases.
• Engage with users, sales, and partners to understand workflows and gaps.
• Establish success metrics using customer feedback and financial performance.
• Communicate strategy and risks clearly to cross-functional partners and leadership.
