Job summary

Stripe seeks an experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and expansion of Terminal hardware. You will own the multi-year roadmap for devices, accessories, and the partner ecosystem that powers Terminal.

You will partner across hardware, firmware, software, design, operations, logistics, partnerships, sales, finance, legal, and regional teams to align customer needs with technical constraints and business goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience or equivalent in hardware products.
• Experience shipping physical hardware, embedded devices, or payments hardware from concept to launch.
• Ability to define product strategy, roadmaps, requirements, prioritization, and launch plans for technical products.
• Strong collaboration with hardware, firmware, software teams and external partners.
• Judgment balancing user experience, reliability, cost, supply, and time to market.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute a multi-year strategy and roadmap for Terminal hardware across Stripe-built devices, third-party devices, accessories, and emerging form factors.
• Develop a point of view on where Stripe should build, partner, or expand its hardware portfolio to meet customer needs and market opportunities.
• Define requirements, user journeys, and acceptance criteria for end-to-end hardware products from concept to post-launch iteration.
• Partner with hardware, firmware, software, and quality teams to guide development and deliver high-quality device experiences.
• Collaborate with OEMs/ODMs and technology partners to evaluate capabilities, define roadmaps, and resolve issues.
• Lead global expansion of Terminal’s third-party hardware portfolio, including availability, payments support, certifications, distribution, and launch readiness.
• Develop and lead evaluation processes for additional hardware providers and build business cases for new device categories and accessories.
• Engage directly with users, sales, and partners to understand in-person payments workflows and device improvements.
• Establish success metrics using feedback, adoption, reliability, support signals, and financial performance.
