Job summary

OPSWAT is seeking a Principal Hardware Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of its security appliance portfolio. The role sits at the intersection of hardware, software, and supply chain to deliver secure, certifiable, and scalable hardware platforms.

You will own multi-year roadmaps, drive the full NPI lifecycle, manage EOS/EOL, and coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and compliance to meet aggressive performance and cost targets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 6 in hardware products.
• Strong understanding of NPI stages and gate decisions.
• Experience managing BOM costs, ASP, margins and inventory exposure.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams across hardware, software, and supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware roadmap and lifecycle for appliance portfolio, including form factors and platforms.
• Drive end-to-end NPI lifecycle from concept to mass production with gate criteria.
• Manage end-of-life, last-time-buy planning, and customer migration paths.
• Define lifecycle policies (support windows, RMA terms, spare-parts SLAs).
• Own P&L levers: BOM cost targets, margins, and inventory exposure.
• Collaborate with supply chain on sourcing, dual-sourcing, and certifications.
• Ensure hardware certifications across markets (FIPS, CC/NIAP, FCC/CE, RoHS).
