Job summary

Perry Weather, Inc. is seeking a Senior Hardware Product Manager in Dallas to own the roadmap, lifecycle, and development process for connected weather devices.

You will drive a practical NPI process, translate customer needs into hardware requirements, and lead cross-functional teams to scale hardware products for field deployment. Responsibilities include managing fleet health, ensuring software integration, and coordinating manufacturing readiness.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building, launching, or scaling connected hardware products.
• Strong NPI experience through EVT/DVT/PVT, validation, and production readiness.
• Fluent understanding of sensors, connectivity, firmware, embedded systems, and field performance.
• Field-facing mindset with customer sites, installs, support issues, and deployment constraints.
• Ability to lead engineering teams with clarity, priorities, requirements, and launch direction without direct management.
• Operational awareness of manufacturing, supply chain, vendors, BOMs, packaging, serviceability, and lifecycle economics.
• Commercial judgment linking hardware decisions to customer value, sales readiness, pricing and packaging inputs.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap, lifecycle, and product strategy for Perry Weather's connected hardware portfolio across weather, sensing, alerting, and field-deployable devices.
• Build and operate a practical NPI process from concept through validation, production readiness, and launch.
• Define clear product requirements and drive early prototyping with validation plans and launch criteria.
• Lead cross-functional hardware development across electrical, firmware, IoT, mechanical, software, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, support, and install teams.
• Drive stronger validation and field testing before launch to ensure reliability and manufacturability.
• Own hardware lifecycle management using field data, RMAs, and upgrade decisions.
• Partner with Engineering to integrate hardware with Perry Weather software platform and fleet health telemetry.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing and Supply Chain on BOM readiness, packaging, and handoffs.
• Support hardware GTM readiness with pricing, packaging, install docs, and training.
