Job summary

Motive is seeking a Senior/Staff Product Manager for Connected Devices (Equipment Monitoring) in the United States. You will own the hardware and firmware roadmap for field devices, drive NPIs through certification, and lead product decisions in partnerships with hardware, firmware, and TPM teams.

This role requires strong fluency in battery-powered connected systems, field reliability, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and GTM teams to ensure successful

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management experience shipping IoT or connected hardware products.
• Ownership of at least one hardware NPI that reached material volume (100K+ units).
• Strong fluency in battery-powered connected systems (MCUs/SoCs, power management, RF, GNSS, cellular, BLE).
• Direct experience owning firmware roadmaps, OTA updates, and device provisioning and security.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware and firmware roadmap for Equipment Monitoring in-field devices (gateways, beacons, sensors).
• Drive NPI end-to-end from concept through mass production and certification.
• Own the installed base metrics: field failures, battery life, connectivity, and install success.
• Define and prioritize firmware features to extend value of deployed devices (OTA, reliability, diagnostics, security).
• Lead device partnerships and collaborate with BD and Supply Chain on terms and success metrics.
• Translate customer/market signals into clear requirements and CRs in cross-functional teams.
