Job summary

Wasabi Technologies is seeking a Hardware Operations Engineer to support our growing fleet of servers in a 24x7 production environment. This hands-on role focuses on diagnosing hardware issues, reviewing logs, and supporting server, storage, and network hardware in our data centers.

You will write Python scripts to automate fixes, build dashboards, coordinate with DevOps, supply chain, and vendors, and participate in on-call rotations with travel to data center sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on experience troubleshooting server, storage, or network hardware in a large-scale data center.
• Proficient with Linux and Python scripting to automate hardware tasks.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware issues (servers, storage, networking, cabling, power) in a live production data center.
• Write scripts (Python) to automate repetitive fixes, run diagnostics at scale, and speed up ticket resolution.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (DevOps, supply chain, vendors) to keep spares stocked and hardware operations running smoothly.
• Help build dashboards and reporting tools to track hardware health and team workflow.
• Be available for on-call/off-hours support and travel to data center sites.
