Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced HWEng Storage Systems engineer to lead development for AWS storage servers and devices.

You will build services for data pipeline analytics, health dispositions, and testing, while interfacing with engineers across the company to ensure scalable, reliable storage infrastructures. The role emphasizes rapid onboarding to new engineering areas, making impactful decisions, and owning end-to-end solutions that improve customer-facing storage

Qualifications

• 3+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby experience
• 4+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 4+ years of systems development in an IT or data center environment experience
• 4+ years of deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment experience
• 2+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement experience
• Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant software solutions in production

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain software services for data pipeline analytics, health dispositions and remediations, qualification, validation and testing
• Lead the development of AWS storage servers and devices across the HWEng Storage Systems team
• Collaborate with engineers across AWS to deliver scalable, reliable storage infrastructure
• Own the implementation of your work and drive product improvements based on results
