Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager 3, Design Engineering for MMIII CDR Execution in Roy, Utah. This leadership role requires a DoD Secret clearance and directs hardware engineering across multiple teams to ensure a coherent CDR package and manufacturing readiness.

The role demands experience with requirements, qualification testing, EVMS, and complex aerospace systems, with a strong emphasis on leadership, communication, and program execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in STEM with 8+ years of experience, or Master’s with 6+ years.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• 3+ years experience developing requirements and designing qualification testing.
• 3+ years experience with EVMS on hardware development programs.
• ICBM or complex aerospace systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive hardware engineering execution as a leader across the SDS Division.
• Direct implementation of integrated hardware engineering process across the CS Organization.
• Lead planning and execution of the MMIII SLC subsystem CDR for CS Hardware.
• Coordinate preparation, integration, and quality of all CDR artifacts.
• Integrate inputs from geographically dispersed teams and suppliers for a unified CDR package.
• Own CDR risk and opportunity management with credible mitigation plans.
• Provide management of earned value metrics for subsystem design and integration.
• Ensure hardware engineering quality and oversight, including audits and metrics.
