Job summary

Arista Networks is seeking an experienced Hardware Engineering Manager to lead multiple cross-functional teams in the design and verification of a portfolio of networking Ethernet switches. You will provide technical guidance to hardware engineers, resolve complex HW bring-up issues, and drive manufacturability and yields.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
• Demonstrated success taking products from concept to production.
• Proven experience leading hardware teams across multiple projects.
• Translate high-level product direction into actionable steps.
• High-speed PCB design experience.
• Knowledge of Ethernet, PCIe, SMBus, SPI, PoE, WiFi, PTP, MDIO.
• DFM and collaboration with CM/ODM/JDM.
• Strong communication and leadership across teams.
• Scripting background is a plus.
• Embedded x86/ARM system design experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional hardware design and verification of networking switches.
• Provide technical guidance to resolve complex HW bring-up issues.
• Oversee schematic entry, layout, and board bring-up.
• Drive vendor roadmaps for ASICs, connectors, and PCBs.
• Communicate project status and changes to stakeholders.
• Participate in schematic and board design reviews.
• Mentor and motivate hardware engineers across experience levels.
• Ensure manufacturability and first-pass yields.
