Job summary

Arista Networks is seeking world-class Senior/Lead Network Systems software engineers to design, implement, and optimize features for switches and routers. You will work with customers, product management, and hardware engineers to build software that controls temperature sensors, power controllers, and PCIe/FPGAs, ensuring high performance and reliability.

You will own projects end-to-end, write robust code in C/C++, and collaborate across teams to ship scalable software that drives Arista

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD with relevant experience in network systems software or similar field.
• Expert knowledge of C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux and hardware drivers is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers, product management and hardware engineers to design novel network systems features.
• Architect, design and manage development of features for Arista switches/routers.
• Develop and maintain features using C, C++ and Python; build automated tests and testing infra.
• Collaborate with hardware/manufacturing teams to bring new hardware to market.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to system-wide engineering excellence.
