Job summary

Raytheon seeks an Electrical Engineering Hardware Engineering Section Manager to lead the Optics Center in the Optics Electronics Department at McKinney, TX. The role includes both section management and hands-on work on configurable logic hardware across multiple programs.

You will guide a team of engineers, ensure timely delivery, and collaborate with Systems and Software. A DoD Secret clearance is required and onsite work is in McKinney.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and 8+ years of experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Experience in engineering development.
• Technical leadership managing technical teams across hardware life cycle.
• Experience in design, development, and/or production of complex military electronics subsystems including proficiency with FPGA/SoCs.
• Experience with Xilinx and/or Altera FPGA/SoCs and CCA design.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of up to 15 engineers and manage programmatic aspects.
• Ensure work is on schedule and on budget and meets quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance, career development, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with Systems and Software Eng. and other disciplines.
• Lead hardware lifecycle activities from requirements through testing.
• Travel up to 20% for flight tests and off-site integration.
