Job summary

Beckman Coulter Life Sciences invites a Senior Manager, Hardware Engineering to lead a global team responsible for instrument platform development and lifecycle management at Biopharma Solutions R&D. Role requires strong leadership, architecture direction, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will drive strategy, align with regulatory and quality standards, and travel up to 20% to support distributed teams and reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Biomedical Engineering or related field; 12+ years of product development experience.
• 5+ years leading hardware engineering teams in a global, matrixed environment.
• Experience in life sciences, diagnostics, medical devices, biotech or other regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing hardware engineering team for instrument platform development and lifecycle support.
• Define engineering strategy, roadmaps, resource plans and priorities.
• Drive hardware development with systems, software, product mgmt, quality, regulatory and operations teams.
• Establish and advance engineering best practices: design reviews, risk management, reliability, V&V, DFM.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to align priorities and deliver results.
• Serve as technical leader for architecture decisions and technology selection.
• Build capability through continuous improvement and Danaher Business System tools.
