Job summary

Seekr is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to design rugged hardware for AI/ML workloads at the edge, supporting ISR and C2 systems. You will work with ML and software teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration and field-ready productization.

The role emphasizes MIL-SPEC compliance, cybersecurity, and a build-once, deploy-many mindset, with hybrid work options from Reston, VA and other U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance at the Top Secret level.
• 5+ years of experience developing hardware for defense, national-security, or mission-critical systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in signal-processing hardware, sensor-fusion architectures, and AI/ML inference acceleration (FPGA, ASIC, GPU, or dedicated AI processors).
• Hands-on experience with hardware-software integration, firmware development, and MLOps at the edge.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop rugged hardware platforms (FPGA/ASIC, GPU, edge compute) optimized for AI/ML inference for ISR and C2 sensor streams.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to build end-to-end MLOps pipelines at the edge.
• Harden AI capabilities into field-ready hardware products for multiple mission areas.
• Influence Seekr product roadmap with field-driven requirements.
• Lead hardware verification, testing, and certification to MIL-SPEC and cybersecurity standards.
