Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer in Huntsville, AL, to lead the design of rugged embedded hardware for defense, aerospace, and industrial applications. You will design, develop, test, and bring-up complex systems with Intel/ARM processors, FPGAs, and high-speed interfaces, working with cross-functional teams in a mission-critical environment.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in embedded hardware, strong leadership, and hands-on PCB design and validation experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in embedded hardware design.
• Experience with digital circuit design for complex embedded systems.
• Hands-on hardware bring-up, validation, and debugging expertise.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces (DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, Ethernet).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support advanced embedded hardware systems.
• Provide technical leadership on complex engineering efforts.
• Own architecture and design decisions from concept to production release.
• Collaborate with software, FPGA, systems, and manufacturing teams to ensure reliability.
