Qualifikationen

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Two to five years of hardware engineering experience, ideally in optical communications, photonics or RF.
• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
• Strong analogue and digital circuit design and simulation experience.
• Ability to work independently and own technical deliverables.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.

Aufgaben

• Independently lead hardware design and development activities, including evaluation and selection of optical and RF components.
• RF, analogue and digital circuit design and simulation; schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Design verification testing, troubleshooting and performance analysis.
• Develop hardware for optical transceiver modules per schedules and requirements.
• Define digital control requirements for firmware implementation.
• Coordinate hardware development with firmware, manufacturing and test teams.
• Participate in hardware design reviews and define product architectures.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards and customer requirements.
• Evaluate future product needs and architectures; improve performance, reliability and manufacturability.
• Provide technical training and support within the area of expertise.
• Engage with customers to provide technical guidance when required.
