Job summary

Adtran is seeking a Principal Hardware Engineer to lead the development of next-generation optical transport and coherent pluggable solutions. You will own architecture, design, validation, and production support for coherent transceivers, DWDM systems, and optical transport platforms.

The role requires collaboration with optical, electrical, firmware, FPGA, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-performance networking solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or related field; master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware architecture and design of coherent pluggable transceivers and subsystems.
• Drive decisions on high-speed digital, RF, mixed-signal, and optical hardware design.
• Provide mentorship and guidance across multiple product teams.
