Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Hardware Design to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. You will architect, implement, and test PCBAs including power supplies, mixed-signal, FPGA, and microcontroller designs in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Candidates should have a Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and 15+ years of electronics design and test experience, plus strong problem solving and communication

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 15+ years of electronics design and test experience from architecture through implementation.
• Advanced knowledge of digital/analog/mixed-signal electronics and interfaces.
• Experience with digital PCB design and troubleshooting (embedded processors, MCU, FPGA).
• Experience in design, test, and manufacture of complex multi-layer PCBs.
• Hands-on lab experience with instrumentation and test methods.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and test PCBAs including power supply, mixed-signal, FPGA, and MCU designs.
• Troubleshoot board-level issues and perform root-cause analysis to identify corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, technicians, and customers to meet diverse requirements.
• Support resolution of technical issues discovered during manufacture and test of deliverables.
