Job summary

Cisco Silicon One is seeking a Senior Technical Lead Hardware Board Design Engineer to shape multi-year hardware architecture and design standards for high-performance routers. You will collaborate with board design, ASIC, signal integrity, power, software, thermal, and manufacturing teams to define, validate, and release advanced networking products.

Lead major initiatives, mentor engineers, and communicate technical strategies across business units, ensuring scalable, reliable hardware

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 11+ years of experience.
• End-to-End System Design experience from concept through production for high-performance systems (PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, SerDes).
• Hands-on use of Cadence tools and advanced lab instrumentation for validation and testing.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term hardware architecture and power-delivery strategies for high-performance networking systems.
• Lead major multi-disciplinary hardware initiatives from concept through release and delivery.
• Act as a senior escalation point for architectural, signal integrity, power integrity, reliability, and manufacturing issues.
• Represent hardware engineering in executive reviews and supplier discussions.
• Drive decisions using simulations, product data, and clear business impact.
