Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Lead Hardware Board Design Engineer in Milpitas, CA to shape multi‑year hardware architecture and drive high‑impact, cross‑functional initiatives across networking products.

You will lead concept through production, collaborating with silicon, PCB, signal integrity, power, software, and manufacturing teams to deliver optimized, reliable hardware solutions.

Qualifications

• End-to-End System Design: hardware board design and system architecture from concept to production for high‑performance systems (PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, SerDes, EMI).
• Validation & Tools: high-speed digital design, signal integrity, power integrity, reliability testing with Cadence and lab gear.
• Strategic Leadership & Delivery: lead complex multi-site initiatives with silicon vendors and contract manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Define long‑term hardware architecture and power‑delivery strategy for high‑performance networking systems.
• Lead major multi‑disciplinary hardware initiatives from concept through product release.
• Act as escalation point for architectural, signal, power integrity, reliability and manufacturing issues.
• Develop and communicate technical strategies aligning multiple business units and engineering disciplines.
• Establish reusable methods, constraints, verification practices, and quality standards for board design.
• Guide senior engineers through architecture reviews and design tradeoffs.
