Job summary

RTX’s Guidance Electronics Team in Tucson, AZ seeks a Principal GPS Subsystems Engineer to lead GPS hardware development for missile guidance platforms. You will architect subsystems, define requirements, perform analyses, and collaborate with suppliers and program leadership to ensure compliant, high‑reliability designs.

Applicants should have a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience in RF/subsystem engineering, be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, and be proficient with Kalman filtering,

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience with electrical hardware development and RF subsystems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Analyze hardware designs and subsystems; architect new electronics systems.
• Define and document subsystem requirements and test plans.
• Collaborate with suppliers and program leadership; travel as needed.
