Job summary

Dow is seeking a Senior Business Development Specialist. The preferred location is Houston, TX, with consideration for Midland, MI or a US-wide virtual office.

You will lead new business opportunities, build a diverse customer pipeline, and collaborate with Marketing, Technical Service, and Product teams to drive growth and commercialization. The role emphasizes strategic market development, relationship building with key decision-makers, and delivering growth targets across new customer wins

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above US E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship/support is available.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification, qualification, and development of new customer and application opportunities.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects, new projects, and emerging market opportunities.
• Partner with Marketing to identify market trends, unmet customer needs, and growth segments.
• Collaborate with Technical Service & Development teams to evaluate feasibility and accelerate commercialization.
• Develop and execute market penetration strategies to establish Dow products in new applications and accounts.
• Engage decision-makers to build relationships and uncover opportunities.
• Gather and analyze market intelligence and customer feedback to guide strategy.
• Lead opportunity development from prospecting to proposal and launch.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams for new business initiatives.
• Support forecasting, pipeline management, and business planning for growth.
