Job summary

Nivoda is hiring a Senior Engineer for the Growth Pod to own backend systems and front-end experiences that turn a new sign-up into an active paying customer. You’ll build event-driven, always-on backend systems that track thousands of accounts through activation, slipping, winback, lapsed, and churn in real time, while delivering smooth onboarding and checkout experiences.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of backend product engineering experience in TypeScript/Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and workflow orchestration.
• Genuine experimentation rigor with guardrail metrics and reliable results.
• Strong SQL and data warehouse skills (Snowflake or similar).
• Ability to work with AI agents to build and test software and validate results.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the backend services behind onboarding, verification, activation, and the funnel.
• Design and build event-driven, workflow-orchestrated systems for account activation and churn states.
• Integrate with identity verification, KYB/KYC, and fraud/risk providers.
• Handle credit and payment data responsibly in personalization and reactivation logic.
• Design and run experiments with guardrail metrics for onboarding, reactivation, and referrals.
