Job summary

Polymarket is seeking a Senior Data Scientist / Analyst, Growth to own full-funnel GTM analytics for a vertical team such as sports, crypto, politics, or finance. You’ll own analytics from paid acquisition through first trade to repeat engagement and guide where to invest.

You’ll set the analytical agenda, partner with marketing, design experiments, build cohort and retention analyses, and communicate clear recommendations in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in growth, marketing, or product analytics; ownership of a business area end-to-end.
• Expert SQL. Ability to go from raw event tables to defensible answers without help.
• Deep fluency in full-funnel GTM metrics including CAC, ROAS, payback, conversion rate, retention, LTV.
• Experience embedded with marketing and product teams as a partner, not a downstream queue.
• Comfort with ambiguity; ability to scope vague questions into real analyses and defend assumptions.
• Strong communication to translate complex analyses to non-technical audiences.
• Plus: Data science background with experimentation design, causal inference, or predictive modeling in Python or R.
• Plus: Interest or expertise in verticals like sports, crypto, or politics.
• Plus: Experience in fintech, crypto, prediction markets, or data-heavy financial products.

Responsibilities

• Own full-funnel analytics for your vertical from paid acquisition through first trade to repeat engagement.
• Partner with marketing on spend efficiency including CAC, ROAS, payback, and channel mix; decide where incremental dollars go.
• Size and prioritize growth opportunities within your vertical and estimate ROI.
• Design and read experiments across creative, lifecycle, and onboarding; defend what worked and what didn’t.
• Build cohort, funnel, and retention analyses showing how your vertical behaves differently from the rest of the platform.
• Be the analytical voice in vertical planning; set targets and hold the team to them.
• Collaborate with analytics engineers to turn recurring analyses into durable models.
• Write end-to-end documentation so teammates can reuse analyses without friction.
