Job summary

Unum is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to turn data into meaningful insights that shape business decisions. You will partner with stakeholders to solve challenges, develop actionable dashboards, and deliver data-driven solutions that influence leaders at all levels.

The role is campus-based with a hybrid model requiring 3 days onsite weekly, offering career advancement and a collaborative analytics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, CS, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in BI, analytics, data science, or related field.
• Advanced SQL proficiency; Python a plus.
• Experience with BI platforms like Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx.
• Experience in insurance/financial services or regulated industries.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and analytics tech.
• Strong data profiling, data modeling, statistics, and visualization practices.
• Experience with data warehouses, APIs, and modern data ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to translate challenges into analytics solutions.
• Perform data profiling, analysis, and source evaluation for decision-making.
• Design, develop, and deliver dashboards, reports, datasets, and analyses.
• Conduct statistical analyses and communicate findings to influence decisions.
• Collaborate with data engineers to validate data quality and testing.
• Provide insightful analyses and recommendations using industry knowledge.
• Stay current on trends in analytics, BI, and data technologies.
• Work with internal customers to refine requirements and ensure solutions meet needs.
• Mentor and coach junior analysts to elevate capabilities across the team.
• Own the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of analytics solutions.
