Unum is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to turn data into meaningful insights that shape business decisions. You will partner with stakeholders to solve challenges, develop actionable dashboards, and deliver data-driven solutions that influence leaders at all levels.

The role is campus-based with a hybrid model requiring 3 days onsite weekly, offering career advancement and a collaborative analytics environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, CS, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in BI, analytics, data science, or related field.
• Advanced SQL proficiency; Python a plus.
• Experience with BI platforms like Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx.
• Experience in insurance/financial services or regulated industries.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and analytics tech.
• Strong data profiling, data modeling, statistics, and visualization practices.
• Experience with data warehouses, APIs, and modern data ecosystems.

Job Specifications

• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, data science, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL is required and experience with Python is a plus.
• Strong experience with BI and analytics platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar tools.
• Experience within the insurance, financial services, or highly regulated industries.
• Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms and emerging analytics technologies.
• Deep understanding of data profiling, data modeling, statistical analysis, and data visualization best practices.
• Experience working with data warehouses, transactional databases, APIs, and modern data ecosystems.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and leadership through data-driven storytelling.
• Proven ability to mentor, coach, and develop others.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver dashboards, reports, datasets, and analytical solutions that drive measurable business impact.
• Conduct statistical analyses and communicate findings to influence recommendations and strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with data engineers to validate data quality and support testing efforts.
• Leverage business and industry knowledge to provide insightful analyses and recommendations.
• Stay current on emerging trends in analytics, business intelligence, and data technologies.
• Work directly with internal customers to refine requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Mentor and coach junior analysts, helping elevate analytics capabilities across the team.
• Take ownership of the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of analytical solutions.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.

$89,400.00-$183,500.00

Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive.
