Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in hotel sales.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle report for insurance purposes.
• Ability to input and retrieve information from computers; proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Comprehend reading materials, speak, read, and write English.
• Professional demeanor with superb communication; verbal, telephone, and email etiquette.
• Ability to exercise judgment, sensitivity, and confidentiality.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills; follow-up on details.
• Self-starting personality with even disposition.
• Strong knowledge of food, wine, and spirits.
• Maintain neat and professional appearance and dress standards.

Responsibilities

• Responds in a timely manner to incoming group/catering opportunities.
• Ensures business is booked within hotel parameters.
• Conducts hotel site inspections and client presentations.
• Create contracts and booking documentation; manage client account files.
• Prospect for new business; participate in sales blitzes and attend events as needed.
• Collaborate with off-property sales channels to coordinate efforts.
• Target group accounts with proactive solicitation and saturation.
• Close opportunities to meet revenue goals; negotiate contracts.
• Maintain strong client relationships; turnover to Event Management.
