Job summary

Good Shepherd Services in the Bronx is seeking a Senior Group Leader to provide program leadership for afterschool activities, supervise staff, and model the organization’s values. You will support the Director and Assistant Director, ensure safe operations, and guide staff in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities.

The role emphasizes supervision, training, and collaboration with families and school personnel to foster belonging and achievement within the program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or High School Equivalent Required.
• Must have worked as a Group Leader for minimum of 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the program and supervise staff.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development activities.
• In the absence of the Program Director, provide leadership and administration of the program.
• Track and input student records and attendance in program databases.
• Assist in staff trainings and professional development.
• Plan and facilitate activities that promote project-based learning and social-emotional development.
• Demonstrate positive relationships with participants, families and school personnel.
