Matrix New World Engineering, a part of True Environmental, seeks an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist/Groundwater Modeling Team Leader to join our Phoenix office or work remotely. You will lead groundwater flow and solute transport modeling on challenging water-resources projects, mentor a team, and interface with clients and regulators.

Applicants should have 10+ years of groundwater modeling and leadership, proficiency with MODFLOW, MT3D, and Groundwater Vistas, and strong technical writing.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's in Geology, Hydrogeology or Environmental Science; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in groundwater modeling, hydrogeology, water resources, or related fields.
• Experience leading groundwater modeling projects and teams.
• Proficiency with MODFLOW, MODPATH, MT3D and Groundwater Vistas; GIS aptitude.
• Strong technical writing, client interfacing, and regulatory knowledge for AZ.
• Leadership experience in senior roles and project management.

Responsabilités

• Lead groundwater flow and solute transport modeling projects from design to calibration.
• Manage data acquisition, analysis, permitting support, and report preparation.
• Oversee multiple projects, budgets, proposals, and invoicing.
• Serve as primary modeling liaison with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Mentor, supervise, and train junior groundwater modelers.
