Job summary

SLR Consulting (Canada) is seeking a Senior Groundwater Modeler to contribute to hydrogeological projects worldwide, including Canada, Australia, and South America. You will refine groundwater flow and contaminant transport models and mentor team members on numerical modeling.

The role requires travel to project sites domestically and internationally, with a hybrid work arrangement. A strong academic background and 15+ years in groundwater modeling are essential.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Hydrogeology, preferably with emphasis on numerical groundwater modeling.
• Registered as a P.Geo or P.Eng with Engineers and Geoscientists.
• Minimum 15 years of groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling experience.
• Experience with 3D hydrogeological conceptual modeling using Surfer, Leapfrog and EVS.
• Experience with developing and managing codes/scripts in Python and FloPy, FORTRAN, or others.
• Spanish language proficiency is an asset.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on hydrogeological projects in Canada, Australia, and South America.
• Develop and refine groundwater flow and contaminant transport models.
• Review and interpret groundwater data for conceptual and numerical modeling.
• Develop 3D hydrogeological conceptual models using designated software.
