Job summary

HDR is seeking a Groundwater Modeler/Hydrogeologist in the United States to contribute to hydrodynamic and water quality modeling projects. You will assist senior modelers, analyze data, and help prepare reports and presentations for clients and teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering/science or closely related field.
At least 7 years of experience in hydrodynamic or water quality modeling.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with groundwater monitoring reports and data evaluation.

Responsibilities

Work under senior modelers on hydrodynamic, sediment transport and water quality modeling projects.
Evaluate thermal impacts, contaminants, nutrients, and water quality parameters in various water bodies.
Acquire, organize and analyze environmental data.
Set up and run mathematical models.
Perform quality-control checks on model inputs and results.
Participate in meetings, proposals, reports and presentations.
Develop statistical and graphical comparisons of model results.
Perform other duties as needed.
