Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to lead unsaturated and saturated groundwater flow modeling for mining studies, from concept to execution. You will guide project scopes, budgets, and schedules while mentoring junior staff and interfacing with clients and external partners.

The role supports a pipeline of mining projects across a regional team, with travel as needed and opportunities for professional growth and leadership within a dynamic, sustainable, and innovative environment.

Qualifications

M.S. degree in hydrogeology/geology/geochemistry or related field preferred.
10+ years in consulting or regulatory environment developing/using groundwater models.
Existing professional registration or ability to pursue PG/PE.

Responsibilities

Lead conceptual/site models and analytical/numerical models of groundwater flow (unsaturated and saturated).
Develop and lead mine water management approaches including water budgets and dewatering.
Interface with clients, prepare technical reports, and support business development.
Supervise and mentor junior staff; coordinate project scopes, budgets and schedules.
Contribute to a collaborative work environment and interface with internal/external stakeholders.
Travel domestically or internationally as needed.
