Job summary

Uprite Construction is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee ground-up commercial and industrial projects in Southern California. This role focuses on safety, schedule, budget adherence, and quality across field operations.

You will lead field teams, coordinate with subcontractors, owners, architects, and consultants, and drive on-site problem solving to maintain progress and performance. A tilt-up background is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of superintendent experience with a general contractor or equivalent.
• Experience in ground-up commercial construction and tilt-up preferred.
• Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and schedules.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day to day field operations from project startup through closeout.
• Manage project schedules and coordinate daily activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
• Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
• Conduct daily site walks to monitor quality, productivity, and progress.
• Coordinate inspections and maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Partner with Project Managers, Project Engineers, owners, architects, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and maintain clear communication across all trades.
• Proactively identify and resolve field issues to minimize schedule impacts.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals to ensure accurate execution.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, and project records.
• Drive a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and develop Assistant Superintendents and field personnel.
