Job summary

MPI in Southern California is seeking an on-site Superintendent to lead field operations for large-scale ground-up projects, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role coordinates subcontractors, maintains master schedules, drives safety programs, and oversees inspections, punch lists, turnover, and closeout in collaboration with PMs, owners, architects and consultants. Base salary ranges $150k–$180k, plus ESOP and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a commercial General Contractor.
• Experience managing ground-up construction projects valued at $40M+.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, field coordination, quality control, and safety management.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations from site mobilization through project completion.
• Manage and coordinate all subcontractor activities on-site.
• Develop, maintain, and drive master project schedules.
• Conduct daily coordination meetings and weekly subcontractor meetings.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform quality control inspections and address construction deficiencies.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, and Consultants.
• Identify and resolve field-related challenges to maintain momentum.
• Monitor workforce productivity and site logistics to maximize efficiency.
• Manage inspections, punch lists, turnover processes, and project closeout activities.
• Maintain project documentation and reporting through CM software.
