Job summary

MPI is seeking a Superintendent to oversee ground-up construction projects in the New Haven, CT area. You will lead day-to-day field operations, manage subcontractors and field personnel, and ensure project schedules, quality, safety, and compliance across multiple sites.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of construction experience, proven ability to manage field operations, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. OSHA/Safety training is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction experience preferred.
• Ground-up multifamily residential or commercial experience required.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and field operations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules.
• OSHA/Safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations on ground-up construction projects.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Maintain project schedules and coordinate construction activities.
• Conduct site meetings and ensure proper communication across the project team.
• Monitor quality, safety, and compliance throughout construction.
• Coordinate inspections, deliveries, and site logistics.
• Identify and resolve field issues to keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
