Job summary

JRM Construction Management, LLC, a leading employee-owned construction firm in New York, is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Ground Up) to lead project teams, oversee planning, scheduling, cost control and client relations on complex ground-up builds.

The role requires a strong leadership presence, 10+ years in core & shell and interiors, hands-on site management, and compliance with safety and quality standards. Salary ranges between $200,000 and $250,000 per year for NYC-based projects.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management or related bachelor’s degree, or equivalent years of related experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in Core & Shell construction with completed interiors.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• Thorough understanding of industry and New York Metro market.
• Understanding of construction contracts, retention and releases.

Responsibilities

• Lead project construction team and overall project direction, planning, completion and financial outcome.
• Mentor on-site staff and manage personnel and resources.
• Develop project schedules, site logistics, pricing studies, and design team sessions.
• Manage all aspects from inception through completion and close-out.
• Coordinate procurement, bid packages, and subcontract awards.
• Oversee shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and coordination processes.
• Maintain relationships with designers, consultants, vendors and subcontractors.
• Lead project meetings and client communications.
