Job summary

Lockheed Martin seeks a motivated Ground Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, testing, and maintenance of ground-based infrastructure for aerospace and space missions. This entry-level role works under moderate supervision and involves assisting with TT&C systems, ground software validation, and documentation.

You will contribute to mission-critical ground infrastructure enabling reliable communication and data exchange between space assets and ground operators.

Qualifications

• Understanding hardware, operating systems, networks, storage, and infrastructure.
• Experience with system requirements, procedures, diagrams, or engineering docs.
• Ability to attain CompTIA Security+ within 6 months of hire.
• Willing to support on-call, including evenings/weekends, with <2 hour response.

Responsibilities

• Assist with telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) systems.
• Support ground software validation and documentation.
