Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Sr Staff Software Engineer to lead software lifecycle activities for ground segment developments. The role emphasizes requirements analysis, design, coding, unit testing, integration, and supporting formal test/delivery with collaboration across engineering teams and customers.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience with satellite ground systems, enterprise software products, and Agile methodologies, along with a active Secret clearance and US

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technical discipline or closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Software development experience with proficiency in C++, Linux, and Python.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience with satellite ground systems design, development, integration, or test.
• Experience with enterprise Ground Product Line products Horizon, Compass, or Hades.
• Experience in Agile development or IT environment, including Jira and Confluence.
• Active Secret clearance required; US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities.
• Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software per requirements and standards.
• Applies software development lifecycle processes and ensures standard conformance.
• Collaborates with engineering disciplines and customers to deliver enterprise software products.
