Job summary

PDS Defense in El Segundo, CA invites a Senior Software Test & Verification Engineer to join the Ground Software Engineering team. The role emphasizes automated regression tests and delivered software products in a rapid development, CI/CD environment.

You will partner with Systems Engineering and Software Development to ensure rigorous testing and compliance with project standards. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in automated and end-to-end testing, strong Java/C++/Python skills, and experience

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience executing or leading automated/functional and end-to-end testing activities.
• 5+ years of experience in the Software Development lifecycle (Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test).
• 3+ years of experience with software development using Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience in Agile software development and DevOps methodologies.
• ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support verification development and review of Test Cases/Procedures and conduct Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
• Lead Software Test Team in formal verification of software requirements.
• Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) with the test team and maintain run logs/reports.
• Document issues and problem reports during testing using change control tools.
• Report issue burnup charts and verification status at PM reviews.
• Track open issues to closure to meet program deliverables.
• Coordinate with Ground Mission Software and other teams to integrate testing efforts.
• Develop Software Verification Life Cycle documents and support Change Control Board activities.
• Plan Deliverables (Verification Plans, Deviations, Requirements, Test Reports) to meet milestones.
