Job summary

Woodward, Inc. invites experienced machinists to join the Loves Park, IL campus for 2nd shift on a demanding ID Grinder Machinist role. The position requires performing complex setups and operating CNC/manual machines to produce precision metal parts, with strong GD&T knowledge and blueprint reading skills.

Training weeks run Mon-Fri 7:00–3:30; later weeks shift to 1st shift. Level II/III responsibilities include quality inspections, adherence to 5S, and collaboration with leadership to improve

Qualifications

Experience operating CNC or manual machining equipment (Lathes/Milling/Swiss/Grinding).
Ability to read engineering blueprints and apply GD&T.
Known to perform first piece inspections and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC or manual machining equipment to produce precision parts per specs.
Follow detailed work instructions to maintain production efficiency and accuracy.
Perform first piece inspections and train in these processes.
