Job summary

Solar Landscape is building the next phase of distributed energy and seeks a senior power systems professional to lead grid strategy and DER integration across U.S. markets.

You will evaluate utility plans, unlock hosting capacity, and work with utilities to deploy DER solutions such as DERMS and dynamic hosting capacity. The role requires 10+ years in electric utility planning, strong communication skills, and a track record in grid modernization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10–20+ years in electric utility planning, transmission or distribution engineering.
• Strong knowledge of planning methodologies, reliability, and capital planning.
• Experience with distributed energy resources and grid technologies.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and translate complex grid issues into actions.
• Experience with major U.S. power markets (PJM/NYISO/CAISO/etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s grid strategy and DER integration initiatives.
• Engage utilities and internal teams to unlock hosting capacity.
• Evaluate planning frameworks and infrastructure investments for DER deployments.
• Develop pilots like DERMS, dynamic hosting capacity, and non-wire alternatives.
• Provide data-driven proposals aligning DER deployment with reliability goals.
• Track grid technologies and participate in industry forums.
