Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams on North American transmission, substation, and grid modernization programs. You will ensure high-quality services, strong client relationships, and profitable project delivery from initiation to closeout.

The role requires 10+ years in utility infrastructure, a relevant engineering degree, and strong leadership and communication skills. Hybrid work includes three days in the office to collaborate effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, PM, or related discipline.
• 10+ years delivering multidisciplinary services for electrical utility, power systems, transmission, distribution, substation, and/or energy infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of utility capital project development including planning, routing, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and commercial performance.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, client relationship, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams for transmission, substation, and utility infrastructure projects from initiation through closeout.
• Deliver consulting, planning, environmental, engineering, advisory, and construction support services.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, budgets, schedules, and staffing strategies.
• Manage scope, fee, risk, quality, and contractual obligations; ensure governance and reporting frameworks.
• Lead client meetings and executive reviews; foster trusted advisor relationships with utilities and energy developers.
