Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Grid Systems - Senior Solution Architect to guide electric utility modernization and integration programs. You will lead SCADA/EMS/OMS/DMS/ADMS/DERMS initiatives, provide strategic direction, and ensure alignment with client long-term goals.

You will collaborate with enterprise system teams, oversee design, testing, and deployment, and drive program execution with a focus on quality, safety, and value delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience providing enterprise or operations architecture strategies and integration solutions.
• Experience with electric utility clients and grid modernization initiatives is preferred.
• Strong ability to influence or lead project execution and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop and implement SCADA, EMS, OMS, DMS, ADMS, and DERMS solutions for grid modernization.
• Lead commissioning, testing, deployment, and field support for distribution and grid automation projects.
• Coordinate program estimating, planning, budgeting, and overall delivery execution.
• Guide enterprise architecture, integration designs and cross-application data mapping.
• Ensure project scope, budget, quality, and milestones meet client objectives.
